Default Is swapping a h22 into a 2001 gsr a good idea?

My GSR has blown piston rings, instead of rebuild I want a stronger engine, but also need it stock due to its my wifes Daily driver. H22 sounded good to me, Just wanted more advice on this swap, Also want to keep th A/C. Thanks Chris

I think the B18C is a better engine. I've had a '94 GSR and a 99 Prelude and I always regretted not keeping my GSR. The H22 was stronger on the fwy but it wasn't as fun. A GSR is a GSR so I would just keep the B18.

it can be done without any issues. You would be better off using a b series transmission with it, through the use of a H2B adapter plate. That way you don't have to move over to a cable shift linkage set up like the H series transmission uses. As per the AC, you might have to bend some of the lines to fit where the new compressor will sit, but you SHOULD be able to keep it.

the h22 is more powerful but you are going to spend extra money that doesnt need to be spent. The b18 is less powerful but doesnt weigh as much as the h22 and its not going to be a problem installing it

h22 only kills at 7000 or more RPM... the b sires engine hits at 2,000 to 3000 RPM...its either you want something that kills right away or something that has to reach a longer route to kill.why not try a K sires engine? (RSX engine)

What's up dude! Since its the wife's car I would keep it gsr and add some performance parts or build it up internally. No offense to the ladies but MOST females don't thrive for that hp and tq like we do. Plus an h22 will be a hassle for the integra but like heidi said you could go with the H2B setup if you want to spend 1200 on the kit. It's up to you and your wallet.

Just rebuild the GSR, it would be a pain to put an H22 in a teg. Plus, a buddy of mine has a 98 prelude and he's had nothing but trouble with it. If you want more power, just rebuild the GSR and boost it!
