I have a super deal on a integra, and was thinking of learning how to re-build and modify the engine, and tranny. I have little mecanical experience. would this be a easy car to learn on? and also what would the usual max horses i can get out of it after modifying it? Thank you for your time.

First of all, integras are great cars for beginners to start modding! I would swap a GSR in it, or a LS Vtec and turbo it. But to answer your second question, the amount of power it can hold is up to you, I've seen tegs hold up over 800 hp.

i would tell you to just buy a new motor and tranny from a salvage shop and install it then use the old stuff to learn on as far as rebuilding you can buy parts here and there and just learn the way a motor and trans work once it is all done and you add the mods you want you can sell the other motor and install the original then tweak it to get i to run right after all this you will have a better understanding on how to make more power and build from there i have seen tegs hit 800-1000 hp but it takes big money to do this my teg is a gsr and all i can pull is 461 at the wheels and it took 3 years and roughly 9k in mods and upgrade to the motor and tranny to do so but good luck and happy building
