Are Acura TSX cars good, dependable cars? Are parts expensive when need replaced?

They are basically a rebadged Honda Accord. Dependable and repairs are not expensive.

they are an accord. The aftermarket for them is huge, so parts are cheap, and they dont usually suffer from many mechanical problems as long as you care for them and drive like an adult. Also they dont depreciate very quickly so you will get more back on resale

they are nothing like an accord...same family but not the same car...since they are newer cars the parts will be more expensive then say a 98 civic...they are reliable though and the k24 motors are excellent

I own a 06 6MT/w nav tsx, bought new 11/17/06. I have all the maintenance done by the dealer. (oil&filter changes, tire rotations&balances, cabin filter changes and some minor warranty work. No other problems(knock-on-wood) after 70,000+miles. For me, the insurance (full coverage) is not that expensive. I recommend the car.

The Acura TSX is based on the same platform as the honda accord that is sold in Europe. This doesn't mean that the TSX is an accord.Acura is the luxury/performance brand of Honda. Other manufacturers are like that: Lexus is the luxury brand of Toyota, Infiniti is the performance brand of Nissan, etc. With that said, you'll have the dependability of a honda.As an Acura owner, you'll notice that Acura and Honda dealers may stock the same parts. However, the Acura dealer will charge twice as much. If you check with the Honda dealer first, you can save alot of money.For the most part, the TSX is very reliable. You won't have to worry about replacing parts anytime soon (unless you buy a 2004 model, which was the very first year they made the TSX and thus the kinks weren't worked out yet).And a small shout out goes to the answerer "nj2pa2nc" above.
