FIRST PROBLEM ::Okay, I have a Integra 4 door GS-R 2000. Some how theres are times when I releases my E-Brake and my lights remain on for like a good 10 to 20 minutes but if i play around with it, it turns off, but come back on sometimes.... SECOND PROBLEM :: The second problem is that if I pulled my E-brake to high, when i release it, my rear passenger side brake seem to not release at all. but all of my other brake release. when i try pulling my e brake up.. i feel a soft gap right before i pull it up. and if i drive it, when it release it makes a click sound and my e brake go back to normal. I dont know if it's my caliper or brake pads.. my brother did took my car once to acura dealer and they said that there was nothing wrong with it... I dont know if its the cable, caliper, brake pad, or whatever it is...someone please help me!

First, check out this link:http://www.acuraoemparts.com/delray/...insrch=noFirst problem: Notice item #5 in the picture. That's the E-Brake switch and the only switch that lets your car know whether your emergency brake is on or off regardless of rusted cables actually releasing the brake. This is the same light that comes on for low brake fluid level so make sure your fluid level is topped off before troubleshooting a problem that doesn't really exist.Second problem: it sounds like the right side brake cable is getting stuck or the return spring on the right side is not letting the E-Brake system release pressure from the caliper. Looking at the picture provided, you can see that item 8 attaches to the rear brake assembly with merely a pin and snap pin to lock it (item 1 & 15).I suggest you remove the pin from the right side and verify smooth cable function by hand. If it is completely free, I would check out the spring return mechanism on the right rear brake. Item 26 in the link below:http://www.acuraoemparts.com/delray/...vinsrch=noNone of these parts seem overly expensive directly from Honda. My bet? It's the cable. Lubricating it may help but I've found it tough to get lubricant in there and almost impossible to displace the rust and grime so it will free up again. Replace it instead. Heck, the cable assembly is $55.Good luck!
