my rsx doesn't have 1st gear but has every other gears including reverse. does anyone no why? is it my clutch or my trnsmission?

it sounds like its a problem in transmission with first gear,if it still moves in other gears its not the clutch,get it fixed before you cause more damage inside transmission

sounds like you may have ruined or someone else ruined the synchro for 1st gear. Get it checked out, that's kind of important and could prove disasterous for your car.

Yeah, the 02-04 type-s' transes sucked!! They were recalled but if your over 100k miles then don't even try. My 02 type-s trans is garbage too. I don't have problems with 1st, but i do with 2nd, 3rd, and 4th is the worst. Of course mine is out of warranty. But it's def. not your clutch. Have your trans rebuilt with carbon synchros and while your at it go ahead and throw in a LSD, that would be sick. But trans jobs do cost a good bit though, just make sure whoever does it knows what their doing cuz you don't want them messin it up any worse than it already is.
