its a 2002 was in a accident on carfax it said minor to rear bumper cover i went and looked at it the paint came off barely on the bumper it has 116k miles its 5spd base model i talked him down to 6000. carfax was clean except for that minor accident. will this car last 7 or so years like 250k miles without major issues or should i look for a older civic with lower miles or older integra with lower miles.

That's not a bad price. The car itself is reliable as long as you maintain it. Consider the interior space and how much you really like the car before you decide if you want to buy it to keep for the next 7 years.

The motors are capable of 250k+...

It should last! I paid 11k for my 02 type-s with 113xxx miles on it. Im at 121k now and still going strong! It's a Honda, as long as you take care of it, it will take care of you. And the k-series motors are some of the best out there right now. I say go for it!

I wouldn't buy it. Hold out until you find a similar RSX that hasn't ever been in an accident. You can probably find an Acura certified one as well with a warranty. Why buy into somebody else's problem? Leave it..

It will last 300,000 miles and 15 years.
