The cylinder head is between the valve cover (very top piece) and the cylinder block and is made of aluminum. Both the intake manifold (back of engine) and the exhaust manifold (front of engine) are bolted to the cylinder head. On the passengers side of the engine bay, the distributor is bolted to the cylinder head as well.
