well it depends on the exhaust system you get. its probably going to sound ricey because every car i have seen that isnt a v6 or v8 like the mustang and camaro it doesnt have that deep sound. 4 cylinders just make more of that sound you dont want.

Yes, it depends. Modifying a Honda's exhaust can be tricky business sometimes, occaisionally new exhaust components result in a loss of hp. This losing of hp is usually due to the header, as far as cat-backs and the like are concerned - they will increase hp. The largest hp gain I would ever forcast would be around 5-8. As far as sound is concerned, you will not get the lower rumble kind of sounds due to the displacement. Typically the more displacement you have, the lower the exhaust note.

a 94 ls has the non-vtec b18 motor...i would ditch the test pipe for an oem cat...its gonna be really loud without something to block that much flow...as for HP gains ur lookin at maybe 5...chip the ecu and you will gain some serious power with an exhaust and intake setup

I agree. An intake to go along with the new exhaust is a good balance. The intake would increase the potential of you're new exhaust. Its best to do this setup (intake+exhaust) because if you did one without the other you are still limiting the flow through you're engine, which equates to a small hp gain.

My friend got a knock-off HKS Exhaust System for very cheap. The box said it adds 11HP.He Dynoed it to see the HP difference and he got 9HP added. So it will still add close to 10-15HP.Power also depends on what other modifications you have. For example, if you have an Intake, or a TurboKit, that exhaust system will add more power than what it says on the box.R.I.C.E.=Race Inspired Cosmetic Extra's. This includes Muffler Tips, Vinlys and decals, spoilers or wings, bodykits, rims. If you have a car with a turbo kit or exhaust or intake or other performance modifications, it cannot be a Ricer.A Honda or Toyota with an exhaust system would sound like any other car with an exhaust system. Like a sports car. That is the purpose.

with the header.. it will go great with sound... just dont go with OBX or ebay header.. you lose HP.... DC Sports and Mugen or Spoon are the same as stock, no horse gain just better air flow and performance.Exhaust? Lets you rev higher then Stock! Maybe with both you will gain like 3-4 horsepower...I had a LS with a DC Sports header 4-1 and a Apexi NI Full Exhaust catback... had more power to it and burn more stocks cars with it! The best was me burning a Audi TT 3 times!!!!You can kill 99-00 civic si like it was nothing!!! haha and also kill stock GSR!you will see gains when you put the stuff on then wait for 2 years and put them off... you'll see!

The big gains on an exhaust system will only be realized when the engine is tuned enough to need the extra breathing. Most of those figures you see advertised are with a pretty tuned engine. If the engine is ported and polished, chipped, force fed with a nasty intake manifold, of course you'll see a 30 hp gain over a stock exhaust system. If none of that is done, expect the gain to be barely noticeable in the hp sense. Maybe 8-12 hp. It will be much louder, though!I would sell the ls and get yourself a gsr. they respond much better to mods.

Yeah, don't expect 10-15 horsepower...expect maybe 5 if you're lucky. The LS integra's B18B1 isn't a high-compression, high revving engine and won't benefit much from a high flowing exhaust. I have a supercharged 91 CRX Si with a race header (2.5" collector) and a true 2.5" race exhaust(no cat) and it's LOUD! You don't need a 2.5" exhaust for that application... it will probably sound ricey. Go with a quality exhaust and look on youtube for exhaust tones and decide what you like.
