I'm thinking of buying one with somewhere between 40 and 60 thousand miles.

the 04 tsx, being the first model year, had quite a few problems. The previous answerer told you the difference between the 04 and 05. I own a 06-it has memory seats, maintenance minder that the 04-05 does not have. My tsx, bought new 11.17.06, has 70,000+problem free miles.

Just a few differences on the inside, see the answer above. Wikipedia it. On the outside the body style is the same.
