I would definitely recommend going with a full coilover system such as the tokico setup. This will allow you to change your lowering adjustments to find what works for you. I run a two inch drop and just pay attention to where I am going. Just make sure the system you buy includes the struts and not just the spring and adjustment assembly as the simple systems will make for a terrible ride.

I've got skunk 2 springs which dropped my 02 type-s about 2 inches and I don't have any problems, like the other guy said, I just pay more attention to where I'm going. The only bad thing about mine right now is that my shocks are going bad, but I'm getting koni yellows and I've heard that they ride better than coilovers.
