I am confused between the two. I am open to both only thing i want is a reliable car. 2001 acura 3.2 TL with 228000 kms for 6000 CAD OR 2005 Dodge Caravan with 125000 for 6000 CAD. Both are about the same price. Can any one advise which would be better bet. As of now i am not looking for passenger capacity. All I want is durability and resale. But confused case Acura is 2001 with lots of km. Also please advise if it is the right price for ontario

Don't get the Dodge Caravan!! Even thought the Acura have more kms on it, it will out last the Dodge by far! Before you buy either of them, make sure there are no mechanical problems, but it sounds like a good price.

The acura will last a lot longer than the dodge.

While I agree with the other two, please be aware that the 1999-2003 Acura TLs are prone to premature transmission failure just like the Dodge Caravan. The difference is in how they take care of the problem and the superior build quality of the Acura. Before you decide to buy the TL, make sure that the transmission has been replaced after 3/2005 and you'll be fine as their was a better designed transmission put in them then. If it has a pre- 3/2005 installed transmission, it will breakdown again due to it being replaced with the same old transmission. The Dodge Caravan's transmission problem has been ongoing since they were first introduced in 1984- enough to justify not buying the Caravan. To it's credit, the Caravan has always had a smart design. Too bad they aren't built as smart.
