Which is better Ingine or AEM? and if AEM short or V2? and what will it take to install this my self with basic mechanical skills?oh and is cold really that much better than the short? is it worth the hassel of it being so open to the elements?

AEM V2 or the Injen short ram are easy installs. The cold air intakes are more difficult.I like the V2...makes the car crazy loud in VTEC. I would suggest also buying the hondata reflash for $600 on clubrsx.com. 20 HP gains with the reflash + intake.

Yes cold air is that much better. I got a Fujita cold air for my 02 type-s and my buddy has a injen short ram with a AEM dryflow filter and my intake def made a bigger difference than his. And installation is somewhat time consuming but not all that bad, you just have to take off the front bumper, remove the battery, switch the washer fluid resovior, cut a small place out of the plastic around the wheel well, run the pipe, bolt it all up and put it all back together. Trust me, it's not as bad as it sounds, I installed mine in about 3 hours... And also, the cold air isn't very open to the elements at all, it's completely covered from every side, plus if that's your main concern then you can get a dryflow filter and they're specifically made to not suck up water.Hope this helps.

the cold air intake for the rsx is a pain in the butt to put in i have a short ram on mine... my cousin has an 05 with a cold air and he had to take the whole front of the car apart to put it on... the short ram took me like 5 mins... id go with AEM
