the ITR has more power then the GSR so it would be a better swap. and its a direct swap in

same engine same car gsr b18c is factory assembly built engine.itr b18c is hand quality built in japan, its a bit faster.itr b18 should bolts on.but I did get gsr because more available less mileage engine with good condition. Doesn't make any diffrerent than type R engine. And cheaper.

neither.... there both too expensive for what they do. id suggest getting a GOOD b16 from a place that will re seal it and give it a tune up and give you a warranty on the engine, that should be about $2000 for a GOOD ONE. then you can spend the difference from a b18 on a upgraded performance part(s) of your choice.

both will be a direct fit but type r will cost a lot more if you can afford it do the ITR... it has extremely good power for a 2.0 4 cyl and is still just as reliable as any other...

if you want power from the beginning and you have the money go for the ITR one but if your just looking for something to drive with but still have the power go GSR. they are the same engine just minor internal differences that make that difference. i think it will since they are in the B18 family

I guess everyone missed the point that he wants to boost this in the future.

OP: If you are going to boost this motor, just replace it with another B18B. When you install your turbo setup, get it tuned and enjoy. If you are going to stay naturally aspirated, a GSR is easy to come by and cheaper than a Type-R. You won't need anything to drop the GSR or Type-R into your car, but you will need to change your ECU and run wires for vtec.

Since when is a B18C a 2.0? All B18's are 1.8 liters.
