Im no car expert so I'm having a guy work on my 95 acura Integra LS. . The Problem Im concerned about is the wiring. He clams he can hook up a switch to turn the vtec on. What do you think? Whats the best way to hook this up or do I have to switch the ECU and wiring and if so how much is that gunna be?

I had a 90 CRX with a B16. From what I understand it is best to buy the matching ECU.

how the hell could you even hook it to a switch....you could route your own vtec wires but you cant have it to a switch...best to get the ecu and route a vtec wire....the routing of the vtec wire is on knowledge and free except for the tape and wire....the ecu should be a p28 chiped for dual cam vtec.... which should cost about 75-125 dollars for a virgin ecu...about 35 to 50 dolars for chiping and remaping...

hooking up vtec to a switch is an old ricer way of doing it. in order for it to be properly done, you need a chipped p28 ecu or obd1 gsr ecu, vtec oil lines need to be ran, and you have to put a vtec head on (b16, gsr)
