I'm looking to buy a car under 7,000, I don't mind what year it is too much. I like cars with speed and acceleration. Any ideas or opinions?

Listen you want something that will kick As* drag racing go for an American muscle Mustang GT/Camaro/Fire Bird. If you want something that might not have as much power but will be better around corners I suggest 240sx/ Impreza WRX/ Impreza WRX STi (if you can find one)/RX7/ 300zx Twin Turbo is a great choice as it will go fast around corners and be faster than a stock Mustang.

For under 7000 you could find maybe a mustang. You're not gonna find too many stock really fast cars for that price. A friend of mine paid 6k for a 94 civic hatch with a full type-r motor and it's very quick, plus it handles good. And economically, a civic is much more gas- efficient than a mustang. I think if you would be just a bit more open minded and not look for a stock car, you could find something a really good. You could also look for like a 240sx or an acura integra gsr. But good luck finding one stock.
