Default is the torque converter for a 2003 acura tl types expensive?

is the torque converter for my 2003 acura very expensive to repair

its cheaper then the tranny which is very common among that generation (just replaced mine a month ago)

Nik, not a part that I would have repaired...I can get you a factory new one @ $664.00. I can find a place that sells a rebuilt one but I am not a real big fan of reman/rebuilt parts for power train stuff...BTW the phone # Freestyl gave is good...call that # 888 2914695 option 1 & order the newest disc 2.60 version...it's on sale till 1/31/09 for $149.00 then it goes back to the original price of $185.00...not worth getting a used disc IMHO... thanx, Bobby

Go with a factory remanufactured unit from Acura. When the converter goes on that one is sends trash everywhere in the trans. Hard to get it reliable ever again. If u are selling soon, go cheap. Goin to keep it? find a dealer and see if you can get American Honda to step in and help you with the repair. Those cars had a HUGE problem with that and many people get some type of help.
