Default Performance Parts for my 2006 Acura RSX (base)?

I am looking at exhaust systems, a header, down pipe, exhaust manifold, as well as new cams. I was wondering what would be best. EXHAUST...I really like the sound of the Skunk2 Megapower, a Megan Racing system, and the Buddy Club Spec III. I want one that doesn't sound ricey and that will give me the best performance, so i'm leaning towards the Skunk2.I have no clue what to buy on the other items. Any insight on the subject would be very helpful.Thanks.

i have a 06 type s -- im in the same delima -- i just bought it and going to wait till spring to put the parts on but i just bought the greddy evo system, my uncle has it on his prelude the evo system sounds great, not too loud anyway greddy makes good stuff, as far as headers go im thinking either toda or buddy club... your better off doing both headers and exhaust at the same time. but if i were you i had a 2000 si it got stolen soo... im working on this now. the research ive put on the k series engine is (order):upgrade the air via - intake, exhaust, headerupgrade fuel delivery -new fuel pump and del. systemupgrade the ecu/ (ours is totally different because i have type s) get a vtec controller... thenonce your up to this alot about your car changes the ability to minipulate how your engine works can save you money or increase hp gains substantially, especially with the high vtec control currently set (type s) at 7800 rpm stock... take into consideration how the b series works stock set at 5600 rpm... think of the low rpm tork and strong fuel you can induce with your upgraded parts your car to put out with that overall control... youll kill your gas mileage but heck...upgrade internal engine parts ie. cams, cam gears, valves, springs, throttle (bigger) pistons, rods.... see with the final parts i just jumbled together that's the hard part of tuning because all that stuff rarely are you able to just snap it on and go, you ll always have to tune to not throw sensors... it can be gay if i were you id put all those components on together..

Go with intake first, then a cat back and header. I like Megan exhausts too. I'm actually getting ready to order mine! And remember, the base and type-s models are different, so not everything made for the type-s will fit on your car. But in order to really make a base model quick you would eventually have to turbo it. But good luck!
