Default Acura RSX serpentine belt?

Hi everyone, I recently had the alternator in my 2003 rsx replaced (it was overcharging and blowing my headlights like crazy). Since I got the car back, it's been making a squeaking noise that seems like it's coming from the serpentine belt. My dad checked it and said the belt is too tight and that's where it's coming from. Should I wait it out and let the belt stretch a little or should I get it loosened/checked out? Thanks!

Get it fixed. Thats a lot of stress on the crank and the alt. Can cause faster bearing wear and faster alt. wear. And the K series doesn't have a serpentine belt.

rsx have a timing chain not a timing belt, but they do have a serpentine belt instead of individual belts for each accessory. they have an auto tensioner on the drive belt(serpentine belt). therefore it can not be overtightened in theory. some people do amazing things these days. sometimes fluid gets spilled will servicing these vehicles and causes squeaks. other times the bearings go bad on the alternator or the tensioner pulley. it could possibly just need a new belt. if oil is on the belt then it definitely needs to be replaced. usually these cars have very little problems in this area. the belt normally lasts 100k miles. let me know what you find.
