Accura is NOT YET BRANDED in Japan (this is basically same situation as Lexus, which Toyota had only branded outside of Japan. Within Japan until 5 yrs ago the Lexus cars were marketed with the Toyota group , top line model known as Celsior). So the Accura you know here in Japan wears a Honda badge, herehttp://www.honda.co.jp/INSPIRE/this is a link to Honda japan website (your pc may need to download japanese language pack to see it ).Honda will be rebadging its top line in Japan this yr and establishing separate dealers to market the Accura product.Honda had intro`d a new Accord being marketed as Euro R, not sure if that`s where you are going or not (I am not much of a honda guy!)http://www.honda.co.jp/ACCORDEURO-R/...r/index.htmlit runs with a very high reving powerful 4 cyl rated 280bhp at 8500rpmanyway Honda does typically brand all their upper end performance model sedans a type R....for example here`s their new domestic hot Civicr/http://www.honda.co.jp/CIVICTYPE-R/From a scan of their Japanese website I can see no other Type R`s in the market.regards (engineer, owner-past & present of modifiedésupercharged cars, fan of forced induction.....posted to japan 1996-2002)

in regard to the answer above me.. ACURA* has been branded in Japan, as the RSX was its first release under the ACURA brand. If you havent realized, every other HONDA/ACURA vehicle prior to the ACURA RSX in USA had HONDA MOTOR CO. stamped on its valve cover. All motors from ACURA are now stamped with just the ACURA logo. so your resources are invalid. As for the original posters question - yes, there is a TSX type S in USA. Acura kept its 4-door luxury sedan consistency and traded the standard 5 speed automatic/manual transmission for a 6 speed CVT/manual transmission

Not yet...nothing currently available from Acura....it would be a great idea though.Check out the links below. The first takes you to ACURA's official website for the TSX...it's the final word on the subject...no Type S for 2009 is available from the factory. However, if you have 'tuner' instincts, you can buy all sorts of aftermarket mods to upgrade your suspension, the brakes, and boost horsepower. The second link takes you to CT-ENGINEERING, (formely selling under name of COMPTECH USA). They offer various upgrades such as a supercharger kit that adds ~ 50 whp, performance exhaust, headers, performance sway bar, etc.
