Default Wierd idling on my 95 integra gsr?

My idle is a little bouncy when its cold, then returns to normal when the car heats up...does anybody have problems like this w/their integras? my car will heat up in neutral, then when i drive i can actually see the needle falling towards cold again...should i replace my thermostat...Also I plan to clean my tb up, but i was wondering if it was safe to open the tb plate up and spray directly in the manifold? will this hurt my car...i have a 95 integra gsr by the way...thanks

Best way to clean up the throttle body is with solvent and an old toothbrush. Don't use anything abrasive. It won't hurt the engine unless you really dump it down there. I like to dip the brush in a capful of solvent and scrub away, then wipe it down with a soft rag. Your idle might be bouncing for a number of reasons. Try pulling the idle air controller off and cleaning it up. Could also be time for some maintenance (ignition, fuel systems).Your temp needle issue is probably due to the engine block warming up and the thermostat opening under dynamic pressure with increased rpm. Does it happen when you goose the throttle in neutral? How about after the whole system's fully warmed up? Thermostats are cheap enough and easy to get to on an Integra. Could also be from airflow across the radiator if it's cold enough out to suck out a big chunk of heat.

i don't have a integra but i have a honda civic that had the same problem. i believe that it was the oxygene censer . if it is that then you need to replace it. the other thing is the carbs might need to be adjusted. something is telling your engine that it is cold so it bounces your idling.

its safe to spray inside the manifold just do it in small amounts, you should also do the following well because it never hurts to do it =] http://www.team-integra.net/sections...icleID=1174you need to replace your temp sensor, i had that problem on my integra, i changed the thermostat but samething was still happening so i changed that and it was fine =]

The problem isn't any of the above, your problem is the FIV or fast idle valve, or its the IAC. Replace the fast idle valve, that is your culprit. As for the TB cleaning, DO NOT use ether or carb cleaner, ONLY throttle body cleaner, if not you will burn up sensors
