I plan on buying a 1999 civic ex coupe, and I'm planning to do a swap from the stock motor to a b18c1 or a k20z3I was wondering which engine would cost more with a tune-up.b18c11994-2001 Honda/Acura Integra GS-R (DC2 & DB8) * Displacement: 1797 cc * Compression: 10.0:1 * Bore: 81 mm (3.189") * Stroke: 87.2 mm (3.433") * Rod Length: 137.9 mm (5.429") * Rod/Stroke Ratio: 1.58 * Redline:8000 rpm * Power: 170 hp (127 kW) @ 7600 rpm & 128 ft·lbf (173 N·m) @ 6200 rpm * Transmission: s80K20Z3 * o 2006-2008 Honda Civic Si (FG2 - Coupe & FA5 - Sedan), 2007 Acura CSX Type-S + Displacement : 1998 cc + Compression : 11.0:1 + Power: 197 bhp (147 kW) @ 7800 rpm (sae NET Rev 8/04) + Torque: 139 ft·lbf (189 N·m) @ 6200 rpm (sae NET Rev 8/04) + Redline: 8200 rpm + i-VTEC Engagement Window: 6200 RPM (1st to 2nd gear). 5800 RPM (3rd to 6th gear).I'm a senior in high school, and I'm gonna get a job very soon.I will be planning to supercharge it or turbocharge it in the future.

anything k20 is a nightmare getting parts for...what you can get for 50 bucks on the b18 suddenly costs 300 or more on the k20the k20's not worth it, just get the b18 you will be able to do so much more to it on the budget you will likely be dealing with

k20s into non k civics is a 12 grand swap compared to a 3 grand gsr swap. and as of getting a k20z3....thats a worthless motor if your going to go k. k20a or nothing bottom line. but as of the gsr motor......t-sleeve it stroke it to 2.0 and boost the hell out of it. good for gobs of power. check out clubcivic.com and start asking there.....
