I'm looking into getting the Matrix 50.5 by Clifford to replace the factory one on a 04 Acura RSX Type S. The car I'm looking at is highly pimped out and it has some real expensive rims on it. So I guess getting a 2 pager alarm for it would be a more reliable way to protect my investment than simply using the factory one, wouldn't it? (i wont have full coverage insurance on it) Also I assume I can get it installed at Best buy although they don't mention anything about getting car alarms installed on their website other than cd players, gps, etc.. How much would it cost anyway to replace the alarms?

first off there are NO factory alarms on Acuras. They come with ignition kills (if you try and punch it out) and stereo kills (if you try and remove it, without knowing the codes to turn it back on) and a 'sounder' (with the key fob.) Alarms as such, with the touch/sound, no.So call around and ask...but use a stereo/alarm business, not Best Buy. (they usually don't know what they're doing..) look in your phone book.If you can't afford the insurance, why buy the car in the first place ??? (can you afford the premium gas it requires ??? and yes you MUST use it..)
