No...With most vehicles you won't notice anything different between the different ethanol level gasoline.

If your manual says to give it premium, you should. The difference in the stages of gases are octane.Regular gas has an octane rating of 87, midgrade gas is 89, and premium is 91 or 92.You can probably get away with giving your car Midgrade/ super. If you start to see your car overheating or performaning bad, you should go back to premium. Visit this website for more helphttp://www.acuramdx.org/forums/forumdisplay/f-68.html

Your manual says there will be damage with octane 86 and lower. It's ok to use as low as Regular 87 octane. The engine will be more sluggish, less power, rev slower, and noisier. But the car will drive and the fuel economy will be the same.

yeah you don't really need to use premium gas its mainly for optimum performance of the engine but you also try to stay away from lower grade especially from no name gas stations. I've put shit gas before and later on found water in it cuz car was having problems starting. This also not good in winter as it can freeze in the lines so becarefull not to buy gas from no name stations. Stick with medium grade and it should save you some money and keep the car running in good check.

OWN an 01We have owned an 01 since new and it now has about 100k. For the first 85k we used regular, and for the past at leat 40k there has been a strange jolt in the powertrain at 60 mph now and agian. When we use premium, it goes away slightly. Just wish we would have used premium all along!!HOWEVER, since this is a rare occurance, we cannot know if we are crazy when it is better w/ 93, or if if it just doesn't want to do it. And, the transmission from these yeaers did have problems as you know, so it may be that.Overall, I would play it safe if I bought another premium gas car and get premium. You won't have a stroke wondering if you are hurting your engine, or if you are getting the best out of your car.Dont forget though! Some cars work at maximum efficency on premium gas! If you get 10% higher mpg at 93, than it is worth it. And, some cars (such as the Altima) get about 25% better MPG on premium!! (C&D Long Term)
