Default Is it worth buying 2008 Acura TL now?

I know that the new redesigned 2009 TL is coming out in a couple of weeks. My questions is what it be worth getting a 2008 since this is the last year of the current body design

I bought a 08 TSX because the 09 was just released but i saved alot of money going with the 08 and its just as nice. I like both the 08 and 09 TL but to say money I would get a 08.

Sure. Its going to have some good sized discounts on it because they will want to get rid of the old ones for the new models. Vehicles at the end of their production run are generally more reliable than the early ones. The 09 is ugly too.

It depends on what YOU want. If you have your heart set on a TL, then research the differences between the two models (Gen 3 vs. Gen 4). As has been suggested already, should you decide on an '08, wait 'till the '09s hit the lot.Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I own an '06 TL, and really like the body style. However, I hear folks say the '09 style is growing on them. Also, there's a lot more to the car than the sheet metal. The '09 features two trim levels, a SHAWD (like the RL), and a FWD version. The AWD version handles like nobody's business. The new TL is bigger & heavier, up from 3550 lbs to over 3,900 lbs....it's more spacious. Also, the SHAWD version will go for $42K, and I'm guessing the base (280 HP) version will go for something similar to the '08 models. Honda (Acura) always brings a flurry of new technology enhancements to their new models. For example, the new TL has A-VTEC, a feature that brings engine timing & cam lift adjustment to their SOHC motor...similar to having DOHC advantages from Honda's SOHC engines. Speaking of performance, I doubt the new TL will be any quicker than the outgoing models, but track reports claim the newer TL (SHAWD) version handles a LOT better.Again, only you can determine preference. The best way to do that is to actually look at both cars & decide for yourself.
