2001 Acura Integra Type R?
I have carbon build up on the back of my car, my husband doesnt think its a big deal, but it looks like crap. My car runs great just the carbon build up, any suggestions on how to get rid of it. Ive been told that i need my engine replaced to get rid of it, is this really the case?

you need to put some engine cleaner or octane boster in your gas next time you fill up i believe it goes in before the gas so it gets mixed better. it should help burn off your carbon. also if it is a manual dont shift so low let it build up rpms then shift this will also help.

dont be pumping 87 octane...it needs 91....and put some fuel sytem cleaner in to the tank to help clean out sludges...and your engine does not need to be replaced to get rid of it...it just needs a rebuild...where they grind the valves and replace anything that needs to be replaced...but the cheaper route would be to add some things to the tank to help clean it out...

your car has to be manual if its a type R
 but i agree even thou gas is high you should but cheap gas in therei would try a gas treatment 1st b12 is goodis that doesnt help get a mech. to check your air fuel ratio to findweatherr its too lean of too rich. or you can simply sell your motor to me i promise to treat her right !
