...be bad for the car? According to the book, the gears will hold no matter what besides shifting down to first at 6mph. If I am in 5th going 55mph and floor it, will it be bad?

the RDX is equipped with the v-tech turbo boost. its not necessarily bad for the vehicle but just don't keep it at a red-line while driving cause you could bend a valve or blow a gasket. the most that it is going to do is suck up your gas when the turbo kicks in.
