automatic transmission on any car go out "fast"they're not as strong as Manual trannys.just keep up to date on the maintance, just dont abuse it, and it should last longer than expected.

Roger evidently doesn't have a clue on what he's talking about. There is nothing in terms of preventive maintinence that can stop a transmission failure in these Honda products. All 1999-2003 Acura TLs and 1998-2002 Accords suffer from abnormally high tranmission failures. This is not some secret and can be seen with any google search. Honda extended the warranty on all said cars (not 2002 Accords however) to 100,000k. Mind you, the Odyssey, MDX, Pilot and 2003 Accord V6 models all suffered from the same transmission failures.I would steer far and clear away from this car, even if it has a rebuilt tranny - It will fail again. Again, search the web - numerous horror stories with these cars. Go buy a 3-Series. You'll end up spending less in maintinence than this Japanese wonder.

All Honda/Acura FWD V6 automatics were trash like the 2nd poster said. They recalled millions of them and never really fixed the problem so even if its been replaced it will fail again soon.
