How much will the 2008 Acura TL drop in price when the 2009 TL drops next month?

If you're asking how much it will drop at the dealer, that would likely be a case-by-case basis, determined by how much inventory of '08 TL's are onhand, and how well they're selling. The unknown is how well people will take to the '09. There may be enough who still want to acquire a Gen 3 ('04-'08) model, shunning the Gen4. Being active on ACURAZINE.COM, a large Acura enthusiast's website, enough Gen 3 drivers are not waiting with baited breath to trade in their cars for the new '09. The scuttle is that Acura could have done better in their restyling of the car. Of course the Gen 4 offers SH-AWD, but probably is heavier still (a bad thing), and with AWD won't likely be appreciably faster even though it sports more power from its 3.7L motor. Time will tell just how well it gets received (well, I hope)...Or if you mean, how much will the resale value of an '08 drop, I don't think there would be any appreciable change at all. The Gen 3 TL reflects a very successful & stylish offering, and seems to hold it's value well.
