local junkyard, cragslist, even try run about $400-$800, guessing its non vtec.94-01 integra motors all fit.dont get fooled by the model Ls,Gs,Es or whatever there all the same motor the only ones that are different is the GSR and Type R models. all u need is block and head, all the other parts can interchange with the old motor, saving u money.or even pay for the repairs. guessing its just a blown head gasket, repairs should run from $300-$500 depending where u go.

Buy a used JDM B18B engine. Here's a link to the place I've used in the past. Many others have said good things about them too.

well theres really no difference of the SE engine with the RS, LS, or GS motors. all share the same b18b engine and since its automatic theres really no other way to upgrade to the gsr or type r (b18c) motor in which i think would've been a great present. since he has an automatic, he needs to stay with the b18b engine. usually you can stop by your nearby autozone or kragen and they can refer you to a motor place to get it replaced.

i suggest you buy a zc engine it is a jdm.
it is a low compression non-vtec no need to modify the pistons for a turbo..
you're bf will surely gonna love an engine with a spray.
