If you mean the older Acura's TL's, then yeah those make good cars for a younger person. The 04+ ones are more luxury and more of an older person's car. I see a lot of older guys driving them, as well as moms. The 03 and below ones are great for someone your age though!

Check out the pre-2003 CL. It's a coupe and is more sporty looking than a 4 door TL.

nope.Anyone under the ages of 21 years old should not be allowed to have expensive luxury performance sedans.

The pre '04 TLs were less mature than the newer ones, but the 1999-2003 are prone to transmission problems. There a factory service bulletin (also known as a TSB) out on them. Lots of them have replaced transmissions but Honda didn't modify them. That means that the replacement tranny is prone to the same problems. One of my friends went through three of them on his 2002 Acura TL Type S. I went through it one on a 2002 Honda Odyssey I used to own. They are both based on the Honda Accord V6- which also has the problem.

Listen to Terrance B - stay away from TL (and CLs) made before 2004. They have serious transmission problems. I bought an 01 used and 3 months later I had it in the shop to get a new transmission. So far its been running great - apparently they redesigned them in March of 2005 - so any with the transmission replaced after March 2005 are good, but if you can't verify that transmission was replaced with the 05 redesign then don't buy. I like this car a lot but if I had to do it over again I would have bought something else.
