Default Can supercharged acura RSX beat a Supra Twin turbo?

My dream car is an Acura RSX and my friend's is a supra he keeps bragging about how his supra is faster than my car, but from what I've seen, supercharged Acuras are real fast. i would like to know if its possible to beat him with a supercharged RSX

You can get any car to be faster than any other car (especially stock ). I've seen a Civic that can do 10's in the 1/4. That will blow the doors off any stock Supra (twin turbo)But you are talking about lot of money (and possibly some blown engines while experimenting).Good Luck...

No. Depends on a lot of things but the only way the RSX would win would be if it was modded and had forced induction that wasn't supercharging and the Supra was stock. Even then it would be close. I am guessing the Supra is not stock so I am sorry to inform you it is a NO. The Supra comes with more power to begin with and can make over 1000hp with the flick of a wrench. The RSX would beat it in the corners though...especially if it was a Type S.

Simply put, NO. The STOCK supra twin turbo is 320 HP from the factory, the RSX BASE MODEL is 140 HP from the factory. A supercharger is VERY LIMITED to the power potential it can give. The most you will get on a stock engine in the base RSX with a supercharger is about 200 HP at the crank. Now the twin turbo Supra can add a boost controller lika a Profec for about $230 and get another 40-60 HP at the wheels. In order for the RSX to beat the Supra you would have to completly build the engine, TURBO the engine, have a stand alone engine management system and still hope the Supra is almost stock. The Supra can easily be built rather inexpensively to have 600-700 HP at the wheels when compared to the RSX. Basically superchargers suck. PERIOD. You will NEVER get more power from a supercharger than a turbo in ANY car.

The Supra is faster.A Supercharged RSX will not beat it.If you get a twin turbo for your Acura rsx and performance tires, then you should be able to beat him. You need around 300-350HP to beat him.

Acuras period are not real fast, it's true that an Acura Integra or another Acura with a B18 can hit 500hp fairly easy with turbos a Supra Turbo has a cast iron 3.0 liter 2JZ-GTE which can be tuned to 1000hp+.Not to mention all Honda cars except the S2000 and NSX are rear wheel drive and front wheel drive cars just can't get the traction required for big horsepower numbers.

the only real engine that was made to compete with a 2jz-gte was the rb26dett out of an r34. if you dump insane amounts of money into the rsx and have it tuned right you can beat a TT supra but if the supra owner puts the same amount of money into that car you'll never touch it. rsx arent even in production so if you find one make sure it wasnt already beat on. andsweeing that most likely you'll buy used dont be afraid to look at used sti's and evo's i've seen evos out run diablos

I have an RSX, and i raced a supra one time. I knew i was probably going to loose, but i hung with him for a while, and all i have is a cold air intake. I think that if you were to put turbos into your engine, a new exhaust, k-pro, and other mods you would be able to beat him no problem. But if the supra was a twin turbo, it would probably beat you. RSX's are fast cars, but Supras are just better.
