The cheapest thing you can do is to add an aftermarket cold air induction system. I believe AEM offers two versions for your car, both their standard CAI system for somewhere in the high $2xx.xx range, and also a V2 version that adds a bit more power. In either case & from whatever manufacturer you buy from, you should see an honest 10 or so extra wheel horsepower. Additionally, you could install a catback exhaust system, however this item will cost you roughly a grand or so, and you'll see ~ 7+ whp gains. Generally, opening up the intake & exhaust flow via these two items is how most folks go when they want some added performance w/o breaking the bank or doing internal engine modifications.
