Any of the 94-01 models are fine, I probably would go for a 94-95 since I have heard nothing but bad things about OBD-II as far as tuning goes not to mention they'd be cheaper because of age.The best trim (arguably) is the Type-R. Which is stripped down a good deal (no sound deadening or etc) but has a bit better engine as well. The Type-R was actually sold cheaper than it cost Honda to make it. They also are probably the most stolen car in the United States because they can easily be taken (no alarm stock), taken apart and sold in parts to the crowd of Honda fanboys that can't get enough of the B18 engine and other parts on the Integra. The GS-R is the second fastest trim but has the most options.

An '88 LS special edition white or black 5 speed. Very rare and forgotten. Excellent reliability, performance and old school cool. Not to mention lower insurance than the DC2 which every car thief is after.

any integra type r that is in good condition is an excellent choice. the chassis has extra reinforcements, a great motor, short gearing with LSD, different suspension and brakes, and nice seats. in short, it has been tweaked from the factory for circuit use. the GSR is a great choice as well. not quite as powerful but can have leather, sunroof, and a better stereo.the 'problem' with the type R and GSR trims is that they are sought after by honda enthusiasts and therefore command a high price premium. also, all integras are usually driven hard or modified, so it is very difficult to find a good condition example. in reality, any integra that is free of rust, and has been maintained properly and driven comptentently is the best buy. don't get a beat up type R or GSR, no matter how nice the price seems. if it is too cheap, it is because it will be a money pit in the future

Dukevin20 fails to realize that the RSX was a slow seller because it wasn't better than the Integra. It was different- in this case, not in a good way. Acura never had a problem selling Integras. They changed it because the Integra had been around for 8 years with the same basic design. The GSRs and TypeRs are in high demand. Not many people are running to get an RSX type S. Anyway, the '94-'01 are the best. I would personally look at a 1998-2001 GS-R. The Type R is cool too so consider getting a 1997 Type R. It was only available in Championship white and in limited numbers. It was the rarest of the Type Rs and will be a true collector in the future

phh duke just did not call integras uglyok sure the bug eyes look a little weird but that was towards the USDM marketif i had to chose between a jdm stock type r or a jdm stock type s i'd go with the type r integra just because of the jdm front looks soooo nice. i believe the 90's (and late 80's) had one of the best looking cars ever. the 00's look so lame, c'mon 4 door sports cars? how is that stylish? the 90's had 300zx's, integras, camaros, 240sx, supra markIV, and just so many stylish cars. while the 00's has the sti (im sorry it looks ugly and so boxy) and the evo looks hella ugly too. the 350z is ok and the s2000 is nice but overall theres a crap load of cars i can rag on from the 2000's. but to each their own you know? todays cars look all hella lamebut back to the point, get the integra gsr 94-95 because its obd-1 and easier to tune. make sure you invest a good amount of security into it and have a blast with the car.

lol you guys do realize that an rsx is an integra right? in japan there is no acura its all just honda. and an rsx type r isnt an rsx at all since there is no acura its a honda integra type r DC5. so basically you all just made a stupid comment. but newho gsr or type r of course the best. if u really want rare 92-93 gsr. came with a b17. not b16 not b18 but b17. only 3500 made i think. very very rare motor.

yeah but the b17 motor is crap. you'd only get that car if you were like a collector and even then i'd keep it naturally aspirated. get the gsr
