runs okay then dies? THe car needs an alternator this i know. It ran fine i left it for a week outside. Now it wont start with gas I have to spray starting fluid in it and keep playing with the gas to keep it running it pops a bit to. Do you think its not getting enough spark the battery is new and i tried hooking jumpers up to it with my running truck now it wont start at all but spits and sputters

Sounds like fuel pump.

The exact part escapes me, but my wife had an automatic '89 Integra with a similar problem after about 3 years of ownership and less than 50K miles. We had a mobile mechanic respond, and when he went to obtain the part from Acura, it was free, since they had issued a recall! I want to say that it had something to do with the distributor, perhaps a switch or part contained within. Have you contacted a dealership or Honda/Acura of America? They should have records of their product recalls. It's an incredible car to drive - the only blemish its inaugural year was the A/C, otherwise a virtual tank - and fast! Good luck with its repair!

Fuel pump, fuel pump relay.

Could be...1. Fuel Pump2. Bad Gas3. Maybe flooded....try taking out all spark plugs and leting the engine dry out for a day.
