well that depends on what you do with them. i have a 94 RS that i have moded and race and it has 250k miles and still runs like new. the B18's are strong motors and can handle the abuse we put on it. as long as you do good maintenance youll be fine

if u dont abuse it, then the car will be fine. Honda's will last a long time.

They are great, reliable cars. Unfortunately they are very popular among thieves. Kids like to transplant the VTEC engine into honda civics. I have owned 2. They both were stolen. The 2nd one had 3 layers of alarm/antitheft on it. A neighbor saw the thieves take the car in just a few seconds. Unless you plan on parking it in the garage - ALWAYS don't get one. If you do get one make sure you buy comprehensive insurance for it.

well if you want a commuter get the LS but if you plan on tuning then get the GSR. the gsr and ls both last long for what they were made for, of course the ls is like the base model but a few more commodities and the gsr is the tuner version of the type r (i wouldnt tune a type r if i had one just cuz its a type r, naturally aspirated ftw) but yeah its not like a mustang or camaro dude acuras/hondas are very reliable your integ CAN and WILL take abuse without much problems *thumbs up*

As long as you maintain it, you will be fine. Honda/Acura engines are tanks bro.

Any car don't last long if you don't properly perform maintenance on the car as the manufacture suggested. Im driving a 195000 integra ls right now and it's still going strong. I believe honda motors are one of the best out there. Don't forget to change oil and replace whatever your manual suggested when the time comes and it will runs like a new car(or at least when you bought it). The design for both models are pretty the same, the difference is in the design of the engine. As far as the engine goes, gsr and ls have b18 engines, gsr uses vtec (engine model b18c) in their engine to achieve the high rev, so naturally gsr engine are better because it was designed for heavy pounding than ls engine (engine model b18b). I would suggest go try out both gsr and ls model then you will know the difference. Oh yeah, gsr only available in stick shift, so if you want auto then you have to go with ls.

a GSr ia alot better than an ls. and i own a ls. for starters it all depends how u manage ur vehicle and how the previous owner did. ur car could seem to be in terriffic shape but all it take is a blown head gasket or a bad timing belt 4 ur car to need major work. no 1 really thinks about all the ins n outs. yea maintnance has alot 2 do with it. but it also depends what type of work and quality parts u put in.honda engines can take abuse but thier also unpredictable.just dont hesitate to put in what it needs. but id pick any integra over a any other honda any day. example. i slapped a turbo on my b18 but 4rm one day to another i got blown piston rings which i need to rebuild again.lol like i said. in the long run thier both the same. the only difference is the value. vtec was just made 4 emmision purposes which made them build a better valvetrain thats the only difference.

If you get an unmodified version of each they will be equally good to you. Hard to find GSR's that people don't ruin and do dumb things to. I have an LS and my friend had a GSR till someone crashed into him and he even got a little better gas mileage.
