Default Is the Acura TSX good in hot (Phoenix/Vegas) weather?

I'm looking at a 2006 TSX, but I wonder about the 4 cylinder overheating with the AC on in the summer. My wife has a Toyota Corolla and slow trafic in Phoenix makes the engine temp jump to the point she has to turn the AC off. The dealer says everything is okay, and when temps get over 105 the 4 cylinders just can't keep up. Sounds like a cop out, but I know a few other people who have had similar problems with 4C's. Can anyone in Phoenix or Vegas with a TSX let me know if they've had any problems?

I personally don't have an Acura TSX, but my brother-in-law does, (it's even a 2006), and he has been living in Vegas for the last year. He's never had any problems with his A/C or car over heating that I know of.

Take a test drive of a used one on a hot day. Try to simulate your conditions.

We were in vegas for a week in our 06 tsx with the temperatures in the high 90's-100's. no problems with the car with the a/c on full blast. It gets hot here on the southeast coast of NC-no problems-great car.

It is great. The 4 cylinder engine is very powerful in the TSX and require premium fuel.Acura is the most reliable luxury car company. All cars are tested in Death Valley, the hottest place on Earth. Some cars, like the 6 cylinder Porsche's, can drive at 160mph all day in hot weather without overheating.

I used to have a 4 cyl Nissan in Memphis. I never had any problems with it overheating in the 100+ degree heat. Never had A/C or overheating problems. I now have a 6 cyl Acura. The A/C is very cold and very good. Sounds like the problem is with Toyota or that particular car. BTW, my husband has a 4 cyl 07 Camry and it never overheated in the 105+ degree heat we had all of last August.
