Whatever happened to that all wheel drive turbo TSX that were rumored?

what rumors...never heard any...and the TSX isn't a joke...it's ugly, but I'm not laughin at it...

I thought it was a joke until I test drove one with 6MT-very impressed with it. I think after the redesigned TL comes out they will have a awd turbo tsx or maybe the tl will have it. I owned many turbo vehicles and also with AWD. I could live without both- rather go for better gas mileage. You lose it with turbo and definately awd.

Rumors are just that. Honda never said it was making the TSX turbo and AWD.

I cannot recall honda ever making an AWD sedan or coupe, can anyone define one for me? excluding their vans, suvs, and trucks

Honda offers AWD on their flagship sedan, the ACURA RL.AWD is a mixed blessing...it adds cost, weight, and does not contribute to linear speed since it increases internal parasitic friction losses through the drive train. A RWD car of equal hp will outrun an AWD version of the same car.The TSX continues to be perhaps Honda's (Acura)'s best balanced/handling sedan. Part of this is due to the weight distribution & superb chassis tuning....Honda's done very well by this car in a FWD configuration. All-in-all, on the track it stacks up very wall against worthy alternatives like the Lexus' IS250, a RWD design. Don't think Honda felt they wanted to mess too much with a winning formula that their TSX offers via it's current configuration. IMO, if anything, Acura might do well offering a (FWD) TSX Type S version, by dropping in the 4 cyl., turbocharged 240 HP, RDX drive train. The complaints against the TSX haven't been re cornering/handling, but that the car seems a bit under-torqued relative to the certain other fire-breathing sport sedans in its class.
