Default first car (acura tl)?

would an 04 acura tl silver with black leather be a good car for a first car for a guy? what are the ELS 5.1 premium surround sounds like? do they distort like the accords and civics with the rear deck subwoofer?

No.First cars should be less than $5,000 with more than 70,000 miles and are usually older than 8 years old.An Acura is what you would buy if you work in a big company making lots of money. The Acura TL is a great car. Fast and very reliable. But it is not a first car.

Assuming that price is not an issue then YES. As with any Acura, you can be sure that reliability will be great. The 04 has the newest body style which is the best looking car on the road (I own a 06). In my TL, the sound system is great and there is no distortion from the sub. Some of the downsides is that you need Premium gas which is now over $4.00 a gallon. Repairs will cost slightly high on a luxury brand than a non one and a set of OEM tires will cost over $1000. But with the softest leather, great performance, awesome sound system, great safety features, and all the options it make a great first car of any car for that matter.

Forget about what the first person said.People have judgments all the time about what people deserve. But really, every single person has a different background, with different financial abilities, priorities, and expectations. Don't let that judgment bring you down. The TL is a good car in many ways:It is safe. It is very wide, heavy (3600lb), and has a full wealth of safety features (ABS, TCS, Brake Assist, Side Curtain Airbags, VSA (Electronic Stability Control), Xenon HID headlamps, LED brake lights). It also performs well in crash safety tests. It is comfortable, powerful, luxurious, and very well equipped. While the navigation system is getting old and has a lower res screen than others, it is still excellent and better than most. Few cars have more user friendly and accurate navigation systems as an Acura. The voice control actually WORKS. The ELS sound system is considered one of the best factory car stereos. That said, it is still a factory car stereo, and with it comes some limitations. It is much, much better than an Accord or Civic sound system. But if you really want the bass to hit hard, you may need to change the rear subwoofer. All of that being said, the TL is also a fun car to drive. If you do buy it, keep notice of how fast you're going ;-)
