acura p1457 code what is wrong?

Ok well the Code P1457 is: EVAP Control System Leakage (EVAP Canister System). Meaning Evaporative Emission Control System Leak. This could be happening if your OEM gas cap is loose. Try Tightening it three times and check to see if light went out. THE LIGHT COMES ON BECAUSE EMISSIONS ARE SEEPING OUT THROUGH THE FUEL CAP CAUSING THE LIGHT TO GO ON MEANING THE FUEL CAP IS BAD. JUST ORDER A NEW OEM ACURA FUEL CAP FOR YOUR CAR.IT MUST BE AN OEM ACURA GAS CAP IF YOU ORDER IT. THAT SHOULD DEFINETELY SOLVE THE PROBLEM IF TIGHTENING THE GAS CAP DOESNT WORK. The PROBABLE CAUSE is The Threads In The Fuel Fill Pipe Bind On The Fuel Fill Cap. MANY PEOPLE HAVE THIS PROBLEM WITH ACURAS. ONCE YOU REPLACE IT LIGHT SHOULD GOT OUT. MANY PEOPLE WHO OWN AN ACURA RL FOUND THAT FOUND WHEN THEY ORDERED A NEW OEM FUEL CAP THAT IT FIXED THE PROBLEM. LET ME KNOW IF THIS WORKS FOR YOU TO. GOOD LUCK.

Unscrew the gas cap and put it back on and tighten to at least 3 clicks. Works 90% of the time.

Same as in all Honda's Code P1457 is evap system failure on solenoid valves. Try changing Vent Control Valve & the 2 Way Bypass Valve. They are under the vehicle, roughly below the rear seat. They short out often when parked outside or driving in the rain.
