Default i have a 94' acura integra and noticed just yesterday that when i step on the brake, it goes...

...down in segments it only did this yesterday, i haven't noticed it at all today. it's really weird though, becuase when i hit the brake, it felt like if i pressed it too hard, it would brake off. anybody had this issue before or know what causes it and why did it do this just one day and not the next...what should i do?

I'd get it checked out. Before windows, air, radio and everything else, you should be able to stop your car.

Go to http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/ where you can research service bulletins, recalls and complaints to see if you have a remedy.

yea i had this issue with my 95 integra...first check your brake fluid levels...if thats ok then the most likely cause would be your brake master cylinder

Start by going to a Jiffy Lube or sears center, if you are not comfortable yourself, and check the Brake Fluid level. if this is OK then check the Brake Master Cylinder or the Brake lines. Last but not least, check the life of the Brake Pads and or Brake rotors.Best of Luck
