How to remove driver side (left) axle from a 1998 Acura 3.0 CL Premium.?

there is no such thing as a Premium CL...there is no such thing as a drivers side axle..there are 2 axles on the car...front or back. (if you had 4 axles your car would bend in the middle at the front and back) take it somewhere where they know what they're doing, DON'T cause yourself more trouble, cause you don't know how to do things on your own.

answer above is correct in that if you don't know, don't do it yourself. and there are only 2 axles.there is a CL Premium, I would know since I have the CL Base. It's just the options that are different.

I have a 1997 2.2CL Premium. The axle on the right side needs to be changed. I did have have professional change the axle. The part cost me $100 and I got back $45; and the labor was $225. I would not get it done at the dealer, they wanted $500 to do the same work.

Raise the vehicle on a lift and remove the drivers wheel,hub nut,lower ball joint cotter pin and nut,strut bolt and nut and using sufficient leverage,pry the axle out of the transmission,be careful as not to damage the seal removing or replacing the axle.reassemble in reverse order and always use a new cotter pin. Dealer charge is 1.5 hrs labor plus cost of a reman axle which comes with 12 months warranty on parts and labor. good luck
