Default For anyone else who has a moderately used Acura has the quality reputation lived up to the

reputation? I have had a 2002 3.2TL for almost 2 ½ years and NOTHING has gone wrong, not even the slightest repair were needed despite detailed New York inspections. If it holds up for one more year I would not hesitate for a second to buy another TL or the TSX.

You could ask about honda too, they're the same thing with an emblem and price differnce. 3.2 seem to be good, usually the first thing to go will be the Automatic trans if you have one. @ 175k but that's a ways

I've owned NOTHING but Honda's and Acura's for 28 yrs...in the past it's been one bad clutch (86 Integra...first yr out) and one bad ac (2002 RSX-S first yr out) other than routine maint. nothing else has gone wrong...(owned all std shift...2 Accords, Integra, CRX, RSX-S and a (2004) TSX) all were sold high miles to others...one Accord we still see around town (sold in 2003 w/195,000 mi, original EVERYTHING still on it..)All cars bought all over US (AF).

I just sold my 1987 Acura Legend 4 door which I purchased new in May 1987. I didn't put a whole lot of miles on the car (135K). One of the weak links in this model was the automatic transmission. Mine was replaced twice and the one in the car when I sold it had a bad first to second syncro which my mechanic said to ignore (which I did for three years). Repairs outside normal maintenance included the rack and pinion assembly (replaced twice) and rebuilt injectors (4 of the 6 eventually began to leak). I replaced the Legend with a 2004 TSX (made in Japan). My wife drives a 1999 RL (made in Japan). MDXs have had too many problems and are Canadian born which is the reason why I also own a 2004 GX470 (also made in Japan). I am concerned that the falling dollar is pushing all Acura models to be made here and in Canada. The 2009 TSX appears to be either US or Canada built. I understand that your vehicle is US made. I am happy to hear that its holding up. Perhaps its because its made on the same line that makes the Accord.

i had a 05 rl until 2007 and all i had to do was get oil changes. no problems at all. Instead of buying a tl save up and buy an rl. They are a lot better even though the tl is a nice car.
