Default 1992 acura integra B18A1 fit into 1990 acura integra? please help?

Hi i just recently bought a 1990 acura integra with a messed up transmission with about 190K miles auto b18a and just bought an 1992 acura integra B18A1 engine with auto transmission. and i just want to replace the whole engine because this one has 70,XXX miles on it. my question was is it possible to do this swap? and is there any ECU or anything that will need to be changed?, also is it diffrent if i bought a 1991 b18A1 engine instead?thankssss!

IT's a direct swap.90-93 integras or DA (japan chassis code) are similar, unless you have the GS-R model which the motor is a Vtech B16a.More in-depth questions go to www.honda-tech.com These guys sleep/eat honda/acura Tech.

everything drops right in. 90-93 are the same unless it has the b17vtec. keep your ecu.

i am almost positive that absolutely nothing has changed between 1990-1993 everything should bolt up perefect, unless the messed up transmission was a 5-speed then you would need the transmission lines and so on.. as far as the ECU goes, no need to change it, but its a great idea to hold on to it, you never know when spare parts saves your ass.
