Why does the acura integra gsr vtec engine have an inner and outter valve spring for the intake?Does this have something to do with the vtec component, i.e once a certain rpm is hit, it does somethign different with the intake valves?

The lift on the intake camshaft is pretty high and the exhaust camshaft is not high.Dual valve spring is use on the intake side because of the high lift of the camshaft so the factory decided to use dual valve spring in the intake side to be safe and not have valve float.
