Read your owners manual. You may have a 10K oil change requirement.

if you depend on lights and a computer for your cars need then its not going to make it....... yes 3000 is just the right time to change the oil you can wait has long as you like but its just best to do it more offen than not

Open the glove compartment. Inside you will find a booklet call the "Owners Manual." Read it.

Your call, do you trust the engineers who designed and extensively tested your vehicle? vs. anonymous internet advice?

I drive a 2004 TL and always change the oil every 3K to 5K. The owners manual says you can go longer as i recall, but oil is the life blood of the engine so always good to change it often. It also really depends on other factors such as driving conditions and such. If those are all highway miles you can stretch it out more. My driving is 60% highway and 40% city streets.

Just any 5w30 will do.I never listen to the trip computer on the TL...doesn't know what it's talking about sometimes. And the stupid GPS will tell me to turn left when clearly it's just a ditch, lol.

3,000 mile oil changes are no longer recommended. Wait until the oil life gets down to 15% or even lower. At 15% it will also give you a code of what service is needed. I own a acura and wait until it is at 10%. You can get this information in the owner's manual.
