Default Noticed change in acceleration / pick-up today?

I drive a 2005 Acura RSX and today noticed a decrease in acceleration while driving to work today. I thought maybe it was my imagination but my boyfriend made the same comment just now when we were going to lunch (and I hadn't said anything). Is this typically indicative of a particular issue? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!Henry the Dog - It's manual transmission (5 speed), 35000 miles. Never had any service/work done other than oil changes.

You left out a lot of information. Manual - Auto? Miles. Last service. etc.

did you leave the parking brake on or the parking brake isn't releasing...std 2nd gear has a problem. (as stated many times...have Acura fix it, it's a known problem)

The first thing I would investigate is the fuel system. Try putting in a fresh tank of gas, if that doesn't work try replacing the fuel filter. Also, look at the air filter to see if it is dirty.

I'd get it in to a trusted mechanic or the dealership for a check up. Bear in mind the dealership will find something wrong even if nothing is wrong - that's why I like independent mechanics.I was going to say it sounds like the transmission, but if yours is a manual I doubt it is trans trouble (but I could be wrong).

i drive an 06 type s and at 20000 miles there should of been a tune-up. just check your users manual and see when it was supposed to be done....usually the check engine light would be on for not having service done to it. also when that check engine light comes on, u will lose anywhere between 35% to 40% of power loss

there isnt any major mileage services that have been missed, only your air filter, and a brake fluid flush. you dont have to change your plugs till 110k miles so dont listen to that. check your air filter see if its clogged or wet. try getting gas at another place. if neither of these fix your problem take it to your dealership (its still under warranty, 4yrs 50k) and have them check it out. your vtech may not be comming on or you may have another problem.hope this helps!
