pulling off? if you're talking about starting from a stop with a manual transmission....then don't buy such a nice car, you will probably mess up the transmission. it's not very hard to learn to drive a stick shift but do it on an older car because when you're learning you WILL stall eventually and thats not very good for the engine and you dont wanna do that to a new car...you just gotta get the feel for the clutch and where it engages or "catches" and then coordinate that with the gas, and you'll be set. but an rsx is a pretty nice car, at least practice on a piece of shit car before you do it on that one

get a old car to practice on b4 you need a new clutch.. ease off the clutch and push in on the gas at the same time.. youll get the hang of it eventually just keep trying =]. and when your stoped always have the clutch engaged or itll shut off on you

Learn on a 5 speed first. The close ratio will be difficult to master if you don't have prior experience with standard transmissions. Having made the transitions myself I can tell you that rev matching for smoother shifts are more difficult on the Type-S than for the RSX base 5 speed. So be aware of that. Otherwise your clutch is going to hit the grave early.

you will be fine. the type s 6 speed is one of the easiest tranys to drive on the planet. dont let these nerds scare you off. I guarantee i have driven far more manuals than all these dudes from 3 speeds to 18 gears. this car is easy to drive and you will learn quick. i have tought 4 different people on my 03 type s and it is still strong even after the worst drivers took there turns on it
