well it depends, because a 2 door acura integra is considered a "sports car" and trust me, you dont want the payments on a sports car, been thier done that, now if its a 4 door, its considered a sedan and you can keep your payments fairly cheap

Well, that all depends. I myself own a 1998 Acura Integra GS-R, and thats a 2 door hatchback and since it's got the GS-R designation (which is the sporty version), the insurance companies consider my car to be a sports car. This would be even more so with the Type R, but those are rather rare. Now if he is buying an LS or something lower than a GS-R, and it is a 4 door, the insurance would be cheaper. For the 2 doors unless it's a GS-R or a Type R, it typically won't be much higher but it depends on the insurance company. Personally, I do not think the difference is much more, like I said I have a 1998 Acura Integra GS-R 2 door with a 5 speed manual transmission and the "souped up" 170 hp engine (opposed to the basic 140 hp) and I personally think that the extra insurance is worth the fun of driving the car. Who wants to drive a soccer mom car? i know i dont haha, but on a more serious note I don't have much money either, so that tells you that it isn't really much more expensive.

Chrys is right; that applies regardless of vehicle. It's a function of Sex & Age; young, hot-bloodied males under 25 get LOADED on Premiums; on a multi-car Policy, the highest Risk (ie the Boy) will be rated against the Highest Rated Vehicle = MegaPremiums.

With respect to Acura higher than other cars: I downsized from a new Lincoln MKZ AWD to a CSX (actually with same ColourScheme ! - I keep telling everyone it shrank in the CarWash !!!) my Premiums increased slightly due to Higher Vehicle Rating based on Strenngth of Vehicle (in event of Crash), Cost of Repairs (smaller = more things crammed into small sapce = more to replace: + classified as 'Import' in Canada, so = Higher Rating) ..... & I switched to save $$ (& get a car my 20-yr Dghter didn't feel intimidated by! ... the 23-yr old Boy loved MKZ, but is 'satisfied' with power of CSX) !! ... go figure !
