I am trying to convince my mom to switch from an '06 accord to a new Acura TL, but she does not like that it runs on premium, but is it true that you can still fill it up with regular? please answer

You can, however, it is usually better to fill it up with the recommended fuel to avoid engine problems in the long run.

You can, but the car will run worse. It's not like there's some huge difference in price between the gas types. It'll cost her like $4-6 on a fill up. If she can afford regular she can afford premium.

actually what is the difference between the accord v-6 and the tl. Both made by honda. I own a tsx. The manual recommend 91 octane but also states not to use less than 87 octane. I use 87 octane, get 32-35MPG. It has not lost on performance. I bought it new 11/17/06. It has almost 39,000 miles.

Well you CAN use regular, but then the TL will lose a little power, and get poorer gas mileage. So use premium if you can. Oh and the TL is a nice car, but stick with the Accord. It's still a Honda!
