the type-s version is faster and has 35 more horsepower. does anyone know what it has installed to give it that 35hp or any mod I can do to get 35hp

there is no real way to make it "Type-S"...but you can make it MUCH faster than the S. to gain 35 horsepower, there a few ways. First, you can install INJEN intake on your car. the part costs about 250 and gives you a 12 hp gain. Second, you can install exhaust. I recommend either Borla or Comptech. a simple thing as changing the mufflers gives you a few hp, or you can change the entire exhaust system, which would give you aprox. 15 hp, depending on what kind and what brand. Mufflers- 150 a pop, or you could get a high performance system for about 1k. FInally, THE MOST EXPENSIVE but most HP method would be to get a comptech supercharger. thats right, a SC would give you 50+ horsepower and much much more torque. THis would cost about 4k just for the kit. With this, you could easily haul against a Type S. hope this helps

There is no way you can take a TL and make it a TL-S. Instead, get the ECU reflashed by Hondata and install a cold air intake and a catback exhaust.
